Clematis 'Early Sensation' is, as its name suggests, an early-flowering variety. Its large and fragrant white blooms have yellow-green stamens, and are followed by attractive, fluffy seed heads. Non-clinging stems are cloaked in evergreen foliage, with is bronze when young and matures to dark green. Grown among mature shrubs, or trained onto an obelisk in a large patio containers, this compact clematis provides an elegant start to the growing season. Height: 2m (6'). Spread: 1m (3').
