70cl / 50.20% - The Chinkapin joins Isle of Raasay distillery's core range as the third permanent single malt. Bottled at 50.2% ABV, this lightly peated whisky marries peated and unpeated spirit, fully matured in fresh and refill Chinkapin oak casks. Chinkapin oak is a North American oak species rarely seen in Scotch maturation. Heavily charred with a high toast, these casks dial up barbecue richness, toasted wood, and fragrant spice. Using both fresh and refill casks reins that intensity in just enough, allowing the distillerys fruit-driven character to shine through the smoke.
