GlenAllachie 12 Year Old 2012 Sauternes Wine Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 48.00% - This vintage 2012 GlenAllachie single malt was selected to be part of the brand's Wood Collection. It was finished in Sauternes wine casks, a French dessert wine made from the Bordeaux regions rare white grape. They are made sweet by the noble rot, which dehydrates the grapes and concentrates the sugars. The Sauternes hogshead casks have imparted notes of ripe peach, and caramel. The single malt Scotch whisky was presented at 48% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered.
