GlenAllachie 10 Year Old 2012 - Cuvee Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 48.00% - A release from GlenAllachie's Wine Cask Series, in which master blender Billy Walker takes Scotch whisky aged in American oak bourbon barrels and then transfers them into European wine barriques for secondary ageing. For this release, Walker created a distinctive twist, blending four exceptional wine cask finishes into one Cuvee Wine Cask Finish. This Cuvee edition, bottled in 2023, is a marriage of whisky aged in red wine barriques, picked from the French AOC (Appellation dOrigine Controlee) regions of Languedoc and Medoc as well as Grattamacco and Recioto della Valpolicella barriques from Italy. The limited expression was bottled unchilfiltered with no added colouring at 48% ABV.
