70cl / 50.00% - The Oxford Artisan distillery uses unique populations of sustainably farmed heritage grain to produce its whiskies, avoiding the use of agri-chemicals to ensure restoration of the land and to support biodiversity. Comprised of grains harvested in 2017, this whisky is built upon a core of 90% maslin (a mix of rye and wheat grown together) alongside 10% malted barley, resulting in an approximate mash bill of 70% rye, 20% wheat, and 10% malted barley. Double-distilled in both pot and column stills, the whisky matured in a combo of American oak and various wine casks, imparting waves of raisins, red fruits, and vanilla to the robust grain and nutty chocolate at its core.
