70cl / 48.00% - Meikle Toir The Sherry One is a peated whisky made at GlenAllachie Distillery using mainland peat from St. Fergus. The whisky was peated to 35ppm and benefited from a lengthy fermentation period of 160 hours to create a fruity, complex spirit that could stand up to ageing in sherry casks, which is exactly what it did. Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry puncheons, to be exact, following an initial maturation in American oak bourbon barrels. One for fans of smoke and sherry.
