Montes Limited Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Red Wine
75cl / 13.50% - If you love Bordeaux or a posh Californian cabernet but don't want to spend a lot of money then Chile is your best bet. This comes from from Colchagua Valley just south of the capital, Santiago. It's made from 70% cabernet and 30% Carmenere, and spends around 10 months in French oak barrels, with 40% new, which gives this wine a dusting of spice. Now nearly 10 years old, it's beautifully mellow with soft tannins. This would be perfect for Sunday lunch with roast lamb.
