Vidal-Fleury La Chatillonne 2013 Red Wine
75cl / 13.50% - Here's something rather special. It's a Cote Rotie from the Northern Rhone, the words mean 'roasted slope' as this little patch of land really soaks up the sun. Despite its name, however, wines from Cote Rotie tend to be elegant and perfumed rather then big and brutish, helped by a small percentage of viognier, a white grape, added to the syrah. At ten years old this is drinking beautifully, the tannins have softened and its showing its famous floral side.
