3cl / 63.00% - A Trinidadian treat from That Boutique-y Rum Company, it's a cask-strength traditional column still rum from Caroni, which sadly closed its doors back in 2002. Stocks of Caroni's heavy, aged rum are much sought after these days, and generally left untouched before bottling, however, something different lay in store for this one. Y'see, the folks over at That Boutique-y Whisky Company were putting together a World of Smoke series, which got the Boutique-y Rum gang thinking about how a big, bold 20-year-old rum like this might handle a short spell in a peaty Islay whisky cask.
