It was aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks for over 18 years then, after its initial maturation, it was transferred to vermouth casks for a finishing period of over two years. Bushmills says this is the worlds first-ever vermouth cask-finished Irish single malt whiskey. So it's pretty special stuff.
