Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2014 Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 50.00% - Another fab addition to the Port Charlotte Islay Barley range from Bruichaladdich. This 2014 vintage was made with Islay concerto and propino barley harvested from eight farms on the island, peated to 40 PPM. The majority of the whisky (84%) was matured in first-fill bourbon casks, with the rest split equally between second-fill virgin oak and second-fill Bordeaux wine casks. It's smoky and gently maritime with waves of fruit and sweetness bringing balance.
