3cl / 57.00% - We'll never lose our fascination with the ways that different casks can influence a single malt. Here we got our hands on a single malt from Dailuaine, distilled in 2015, and bottled in 2022 a twin to the other seven-year-old Dailuaine to join the ranks of our own indie bottling line of late. The two are not identical though (as you might have gathered from their different hues), instead of finishing in a sherry cask, this expression was treated to a stay in a first-fill bourbon barrel. The result inviting layers of vanilla, custard, and oak spice, presenting a delightfully contrasting character to the sticky, sherried fruit sweetness of its sibling. 361 bottles of this one.
