75cl / 14.00% - This is something a bit exciting: grand cru Alsace riesling with a bit of age on it from a top producer, Domaine Schlumberger. Grand cru meaning it comes from a designated top vineyard, in this case Saering. It's a ripe, opulent wine that's classed as dry, though there's a tiny bit of sweetness here, 4g per litre of sugar. Time in the bottle has opened this up as a hedonistic treat bursting with honey, tropical fruit and toasty notes. This would work well with cheeses like Munster or Epoisses as well as meat dishes like pork with apricots, or spicy Thai food.
