70cl / 57.50% - We very much enjoy that people who are fans of whisky can have a huge amount of affection for big ol' pieces of industrial equipment that they might not have even encountered in real life before, like worm tubs. Honestly, we include ourselves in that group. We love a good worm tub. These classic bits of distilling equipment (consisting of a long copper coiled tube in cold water in a large vat) can impart a distinctive, heavy, robust flavour compared to the more modern and efficient condensers, which many distilleries have switched over to. However, some distilleries have kept their worm tub, and that's what this whisky is about. It's a fantastic ten year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from a distillery that continues to get great use out of its worm tub to this day, and it's been finished in sherry casks before being bottled at natural cask strength without any added caramel for colouring.
