Dailuaine 5 Year Old Pedro Ximenez Cask Finish (Darkness) Single Malt Whisky
50cl / 55.80% - Five year old single malt from the wonderful Dailuaine Distillery, which has been bottled up as part of the Darkness range, which is all about well-sherried deliciousness. This particular expression has been finished in a Pedro Ximenez octave cask, which is smaller than your run-of-the-mill cask, allowing for more interaction between the wood and the whisky. Boasting big notes of ripe red fruit, balanced by smoky notes, this one has plenty of full-on flavour, along with a deep ruby hue.
