70cl / 50.00% - Released as part of the Mystery Malt series from Murray McDavid comes Safe Haven. A six year old single malt from an undisclosed distillery, we don't even know the region it hails from, so it really is quite mysterious. What we do know is, the whisky was distilled in 2014, matured in bourbon hogsheads, and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks before bottling. It has a distinctly peaty character with plenty of smoke which could help provide a clue, and will certainly make an enjoyable dram for any peat lover.
