50cl / 55.90% - A sherried single malt produced by the Dalmore Distillery, independently bottled up for the Darkness range. A Darkness Dalmore, if you will. Catchy nicknames aside, this expression was matured for 14 years, including a stint in an Oloroso sherry octave cask, which is much smaller than your run-of-the-mill hogshead, meaning a greater surface area to volume ratio, allowing for more interaction between the whisky and the wood.
