Balmenach 18 Year Old Moscatel Cask Finish (Darkness) Single Malt Whisky
50cl / 56.70% - From the Balmenach Distillery comes a single malt Scotch whisky which has been aged for 18 years, including a stint in a Moscatel sherry octave cask, and independently bottled for the Darkness range. Octaves are much smaller than your standard cask, which means there's a greater surface area to volume ratio, leading to more interaction between the wood and the whisky. Lots of sherried notes here, and it's also a great chance to taste Balmenach's single malt, which isn't seen all too often.
