70cl / 46.00% - A deliciously intriguing Irish whiskey here from Currach, the single malt was finished in seaweed charred casks. See, we told you it was intriguing. The casks didn't previously hold seaweed Atlantic seaweed was actually used to char the casks. The team behind the whiskey harvested kombu seaweed from the coast of County Clare and charred the casks with it, imparting heaps of umami notes to the wood, and then in went the whiskey itself for a three month finish. Funky stuff.
