GlenAllachie 9 Year Old Rye Wood Finish Single Malt Whisky
70cl / 48.00% - An intriguing twist on a Speysider here, this GlenAllachie has been finished in rye casks. Initially the single malt was matured in American oak barrels before being transferred to casks which previously held rye whiskey from Kentucky for a finishing period. Eventually it was bottled at nine years old at 48% ABV, full of sufficiently spicy notes from the cask finish.
