Distilled on the island which shares its name, this Jura single malt Scotch whisky has been allowed to age for 20 years before being bottled up at 48.2% ABV. The label has taken inspiration from George Orwell's 1984, which he wrote on the island, as well as its impressive deer population. There are significantly more than 1,984 deer on Jura, in case you thought the book might have been about 1,984 deer. That would be a pretty good book, though. Maybe not better than the actual 1984, but still. Batch 5 is a release of 901 bottles.That Boutique-y Whisky Company bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
