History of Air France:
The history of Air France is summarized here.
1909-1932: The Pioneers
The oldest airline in France traces the family tree of Air France to 1909. It mainly operates airships and "hydro airplanes". The first commercial airlines appeared at the end of the First World War. They are private capital, mainly from business bankers associated with aircraft manufacturers who are the originators.
1933-1939: The birth of Air France
The economic crisis of the 1930s culminated in 1933 in the first major restructuring of French commercial air transport. The new company was renamed Air France in August 1933 after the Aeropostale's assets were sold in liquidation. Air France was officially inaugurated at Le Bourget Airport on 7 October 1933.
Modernization of the network
The mission of Air France's management is to modernize a 37,800 km network that covers Europe, the Mediterranean basin, and South America, as well as stopovers on the road to Sagon.
Comfort and safety
Comfort and safety are two of the priorities of the very young company: luggage nets, individual fans, heating, and the much-appreciated service of a "barman".
It's the Golden Age
Air France UK’s luxury services are universally known in London and in New York. The latter offers private cabins and gourmet meals on board the Super Constellation. The Company takes particular care to the pleasure of its customers with champagne and, since September 1949, serving hot dishes. Book your flight now using our promo codes.
