The Wera 8767 A HF Zyklop VDE Bit Socket in T40 x 36 mm with a 1/4" drive is the largest size in this insulated range, designed for high-torque TORX® fasteners found in heavy electrical infrastructure, large motor assemblies, and industrial switchgear where maximum fastener security is essential. As with all sockets in this range, it is individually tested at 10,000 V to IEC 60900 and approved for safe working at up to 1,000 V. The 2-component insulation design — red outer layer over a yellow inner core — provides an immediate visual alert if the outer insulation is compromised, enabling prompt tool replacement before safety is put at risk. The holding function firmly retains T40 screws on the tool during insertion, reducing the likelihood of dropped fasteners when working in demanding or elevated locations. Despite its larger fastener capacity, the compact 36 mm profile and surface-protecting plastic sleeve ensure it remains easy to handle in restricted access environments.
