Well let us explain the unique provenance of this startling libation, which has come into being all by itself despite a lack of intelligent design...In the beginning, there was an idea to turn full-sized bottles of whisky into 3cl samples. This meant that whisky lovers could try all kinds of malts and other fine spirits without having to shell out on the whole bottle first (to try before buying if you will). A bottle of whisky is 70cl, so we can make 23 little 3cl drams and theres a little extra left over. The question is: what do we do with what was left over? We can't feed it to the Colobus monkeys; that would be cruel. So, we decided to pour all the surplus yumminess into one almighty carboy, and tried it only to find, astonishingly, it was actually really rather good. The first batch of "Brown Drink" sold out pretty quickly, as did batch 2 and now, almost unbelievably we have reached the 4th batch.The tasting
