70cl / 56.20% - Today Port Ellen is a whisky legend, thanks to a myriad of reasons in the early 1980s the distillery was closed. However, this was no judgement on its character or of it's quality, and when the barrels left maturing in warehouses reached old age the world was left with very old, irreplaceable whisky that also tastes, quite frankly, amazing. In 2001 Diageo who own the remaining stock bottled the first of what would become annual releases of Port Ellen.
