The 80g grit is widely used for smoothing surfaces after coarser grinding, removing light scratches, and preparing metalwork ahead of a final finish. Sitting at the finer end of the medium grit range, this disc delivers a noticeably cleaner surface profile while still offering good material removal rates — making it equally useful as a standalone grade for general metal preparation. The aluminium oxide grain is specifically suited to metal applications and provides consistent cutting performance throughout the disc's working life. The stable vulcanised fibre backing and fully synthetic resin bonding ensure high work stability under load.
