Carlos Manuel Santana was an opera singer who hailed from Havana, Cuba. He studied at the Hubert de Blanc Conservatory under the direction of Paul Csonka and in the US with the maestros Juan Viccini and Julia Drobner of New York. Later he sang for the US Armed Services, in concerts at the Connecticut Town Hall and operas in New York and Philadelphia during the 1960's. His extensive repertoire included the principle role of the operas La Boheme; La Traviata & Rigoletto as well as classics in Germ
