The legendary Hungarian gypsy violinist Yoska Nemeth (Budapest, 1921 - Paris, August 10, 1965) nicknamed "Prince of the Gypsies" was a leading proponent of gypsy music in Europe and did much for the promotion of the art form and the spread of it's style. He became quite well known in the cafes and bistros of Paris beginning in the 1930's and eventually made Paris his home.
