Raised by musician parents in Jackson, Mississippi, singer/songwriter, actress and author Nanette Workman has been based in Quebec, Canada for most of her career. In 1966 Workman recorded her first French language single, "El Maintenant," which rose to #1 on the Canadian charts and remained there for fifteen weeks.
