MOUNTAIN STATIC is the new project of Melbourne based musician SIMON GIBBS, who was formerly the singer and multi-instrumentalist in TTT (Tic Toc Tokyo). Mountain Static was born from a need to experiment with instrumentation but at the same time maintain a keen sense of melody. Taking it's lead from folk art and sacred music, 'Research' explores themes of exile, migration and return and what it means to travel and engage with the landscape.
