Yolanda was born in Puerto Rico. At an early age she displayed a privileged voice; and her parents, both in show business, enrolled her in the Fine Arts School of Music. She got her Bachelor of Arts degree in Puerto Rico and her Master degree in Manhattan School of Music, with vocal studies at Julliard in New York.
